I wasn’t sure how I would feel about them during the day, when you can see the black plastic, but they really aren’t as obtrusive as I thought. When they really show off though, is at night. I can’t speak to how much sun is enough yet, because the leaves aren’t on the trees yet,, but a few are in an area with evergreens and they have no issue charging. We’ve had them out for a few weeks and have had a good range of temps and conditions and so far, so good. They are sturdy enough to be placed without having to loosen the soil. They are placed in areas that get several hours of sun to areas that only get morning or evening sun and all have charged equally well.

Bought 24 total (2 packs) to line each side of my long driveway, and there was not a single one that failed despite some not being exposed to as much sunlight as the others. These were bright, easy to apply & accomplished the goal. I love that my house is no longer dark & scary out front. Also such a great value – could not have found a better priced alternative elsewhere. I didn’t mind that they look “plasticky” because no one can tell when it’s dark, but if you’re finicky about a classy appearance, then may look elsewhere.

Wrote to company and they want a picture of the non working light. How stupid is that? Oh well, I guess I now have an 11 light set. Very disappointed.The saga continues: after my negative review, the company says they will replace the defective light. Customer Review: My wife loves these things and everyone that comes over asked where we got them. Easy to put together, simply add pole to light, flip on, and stick in your pot or into the ground. Easy to flex the light into whatever shape you want, and they light up very well for such small lights. Last for a long time compared to a lot of solar lights. We have had some for over 2 years now and still working. The solar panel seems to handle the outside environment very well and is not fogging up too bad and still charging after several years. Great price for what you get and you can make them flash or stay on steady plus only come on when it is dark. We will keep buying and giving to friends as these lights really change your yard and environment at night plus helps you see on sidewalks and things too. We have ours in flowerpots directly in the sun, ran, snow, whatever and they are working great and continue to work. Always have folks wanting to talk about them they are really cool and beautiful for your yard.

I don’t know how such an inexpensive and simple item can create so much joy, but it does.I didn’t think this would be ‘all that’ given the price, but I wanted to try it because I had a relatively dead space (lighting wise) on my deck and wanted to see if this would fill it. At worst, I am out less than $20.PROS:- VERY easy to assemble and shape. It doesn’t seem like the little spindly wires would actually stand up, but they do!- Looks amazing at night. Even better than the picture.- WAY fuller and larger than you expect, given it’s initial size.- Solar works really well, even partially covered by plant leaves.CONS:- Looks a bit ‘sad’ in the daytime (unlit), but this can be fixed by placing it amongst plants where it isn’t as noticeable (see first picture).- Kind of time consuming to manage each wire into whatever config you want, but as you can probably tell by the pictures, even a lazy ‘plumping up’ of the wires still looks great.- The solar parts are a bit obvious and obnoxious, but I have them placed so they aren’t all that noticeable in the plantsI enjoy going out at night just to look at these. They put out a lot more light than you might expect and it is very warm and comforting to look at. If I wasn’t worried about wildlife and heavy snow, I would put these all over our yardamongst the trees.Unfortunately, the full night pictures were too hard to get so these are at dusk.

After the umbrella is taken off for the winter, I put the globe w/plastic spike inside the hole. Nice to sit at the table in colder weather & see the glittery effects sparkle across the round tabletop. Also, looks nice on square tables. The globes light up first before our firefly lights, are bright & last all night.

They are durable however, the Texas Summers gave them a beating and while they were still lighting up the lenses became discolored. This product has clearly been improved in the way they are made with a slight Bronze finish vs. the black as before. They look great and are ready to install using the included hardware. They charged within hours and shined brightly when dusk fell. These lights also make for good courtesy lighting near steps. They’re a great value in the 12 pack. Hope this helps!!
