The color looks great, too!Update: I hydrated the last cube last week and added it to some containers that were faltering (dry, stunted, bug-eaten). The plants (herbs, flowers, chard and kale) have perked up and started producing. I am expanding my garden, so I am ordering more now!! This has been one of the most valuable things I have purchased for my vegetable garden, growing in this Texas heat.

This makes putting the tarp down to prevent weeds to flourish far easier for us. As an older person, putting down the weed blocker is so much more easy, which is what we needed. It’s great for putting down around trees to put mulch on to prevent mowing grass close to a tree. Using landscape staples is easy to use and secure downI will use it to run around my “cellar” of my house, to put down river pebbles where it meets gardens or artificial turf. It is thick and I expect it to hold up over time. Don’t need big and wide weed blocker, so like the thrifty and already sized to fit spaces all around my yard. Couldn’t be more pleased with buying this product. It is the traditional quality and appearance of larger sheets for larger products … if you have those weed tarps = this appears just like them. I use to buy large rolls at home improvement stores and fold them over to boost the weed control but this is the perfect manageable size and appearance. Don’t know how it will hold up over time. Only time will tell. This is professional quality weed tarp and love the lines to relate to layout to rectangular and square spaces that are common in properties and landscapes that are modern, contemporary or zen. Customer Review: I wasn’t sure how fast this stuff could actually work, but I found out the other day when I had to figure out a temporary rescue technique for some plants that had been roughed around in the mail and needed support while I waited for their new pots to arrive. I put some of this potting mix in temporary containers and set the two inch pots down into it, being careful not to put soil any deeper than it had been in their pots. I moistened the potting mix first so I could avoid overwatering. The plants perked up within hours and the tallest one stopped leaning and stood straight up! I had some problems with the chemical smell, but that faded by the end of the day. This rescue attempt kept my roughed up two inch plants healthy and safe until I was able to transplant them into larger pots. All of the two inch plants I had ordered transplanted easily with this potting mix and the chemical odor faded gradually. I moistened it as I added it to the pots, a little at a time. The plants all look great, which is actually a miracle for me because I have never had much luck keeping indoor plants healthy. My outdoor plants and flowering shrubs love me, but tropical plants usually hate me. I’m trying to change this and it’s working so far. I’ve been using the organic potting mix to grow vegetable seeds and only one seed died so far because I didn’t water it in time. I’m impressed with the potting mixes so far. I also bought some of the expanding mix, but I haven’t tried that yet. It sounds like fun. Any potting mix that keeps a tropical plant alive in my house is miraculous, so this stuff deserves high praise. I wouldn’t use the non-organic type on vegetables but they have more than one organic choice for vegetables. They’re worth trying. I like the indoor one so far and I plan to try the outdoor kind soon.

Customer Review: Best potting soil I know. However, some bags do contain gnats. Not a big problem as it’s easily treated. Good quality for good price. I always use this soil and my plants are thriving.

Customer Review: This straw is great for seeding lawns and is far better and covers a far larger area than a bail of straw. The bag indicates 500 sq ft coverage. I didn’t measure, but I believe it! Because it is completely dry and shredded, it is very light weight and is very easy to spread. Just reach into the bag, tear off a handful and gently shake to spread over area. Results were also better than plain straw. All seeded areas grew very well and the E-Z Straw disappears into the lawn better than plain straw once the grass starts growing. Highly recommend this product if you plan on seeding.

Customer Review: This stuff is amazing! Put down my grass seed, then this stuff and put dirt on top of it. Works like a charm. Don’t think all of the people complaining about grass growing in this read the product description. It’s to protect grass seed. For use in grass seeding so it does not wash away and prevents the birds from eating your grass seeds. This is not traditional mulch. It is clearly stated in the description as for use in protecting grass seeds. That is why it has tackifier added to it.

Customer Review: Item came well packed in a vacuum sealed bag inside a box. Upon opening, the bag the straw was firmly packed and smelled dry and fresh with no signs of mold or mildew. It was very enjoyable to spread around the garden as the straw was in neat, uniform lengths and felt sturdy. It showed no signs of seeds and spread cleanly. Excited to purchase more straw as I think that it was MUCH easier to use than traditional wood mulch and a better value compared to many bagged mulches at big box stores. I’ve left it in my garden for a few weeks to see if it shows any signs of sprouting weeds and so far, no signs of anything growing but what I’ve planted. Overall extremely satisfied and excited to completely mulch my garden now!

Customer Review: This is a four pound box of straw. What makes this special is that it is seed free and organic. Both of those things are important me. After all, I seek organic, non GMO items within my home, why would I not want to protect my property outside?I plan on planting vegetables in buckets again this year. I have had really good luck for a few years now growing vegetables in containers except for the first couple of days when the cats decide to play in the dirt, and the birds like to eat the seeds they unearth. I thought that the straw will help prevent that. Since I buy heirloom organic seeds, as well as good quality soil and make my own plant food, I wanted something that would protect them equally well.I do find this a bit expensive, and I probably can’t cover all the buckets I plant, but it is a great start. I’ll cover all the vegetables first and any left overs will then go on the flower seeds.I have used other straw in the past for grass seed, and they did stop most of the birds from eating them. However, they weren’t free of seeds and that created plants I hadn’t wanted mixed with my grass. It wasn’t a huge problem but an annoyance all the same.Straw also stops the soil from getting too hot in the summer and it maintains moisture in the soil for longer. That is super important when you are container growing. Plus it is biodegradable . It also cuts down on my work.Yes, it is expensive compared to buying locally, but the properties of clean, seed free , organic straw are well worth it. I want my family to have the best food I can grow, This straw is just another step towards that goal.I gave this four stars solely based upon the fact that I haven’t used it before and my personal results are not in. If I could rate the straw on what I know it “could do”, it would have five stars.

Customer Review: I used this in my new raised vegetable beds. It was so easy to unroll, cut with scissors, and staple down. By mid-season, it was already breaking down nicely, and I didn’t pull a single weed from those beds all summer. At the end of the season, I just tilled the remains into the soil. Perfect for my needs.

Customer Review: Great concept and mostly worked well. I did find that in a very rainy spring, some of the paper started to shred and tear before the plants grew in to cover it. The staples it came with are good quality. I’ll use it again but maybe in a slightly drier year or with more overlap between strips.
