The only negative is the top pour top isn’t exactly correct. Liquid will squirt out around the pourer or miss your watering container if not careful. Easy to resolve. I didn’t notice any smell and the product looks very rich and intense. For example my 2 gallon watering can requires 2 teaspoons of food. Good deal!!

Customer Review: It seems weird to get excited about fertilizer. I like this stuff. Organicness and impressions: The product reminds me of compost juice or that bag with vegetables in it that sat at the back of your fridge for a year before being discovered. It’s a sort of brown slurry. Low strength, NPK of 2-2-2, so a chemical shock this is not. Nature is nature. Plants eat decayed organic matter. Houseplants generally get by with whatever soil they came from the nursery with plus whatever water I remember to give them. When they seem less healthy, it’s hard to say why. I like to give them something, and this seems like a good middle ground. It’s not chemical-y. It’s not gross. It’s not aggressive. It’s not nothing. It’s not weird synthetic crystals stripped of all trace minerals. It’s hard to image that I could “hurt” the plants by giving them this, and yet it may do a great deal of good over time, replenishing the soil and giving plants something to work with so they can look their best. Smell: The smell is sickly-sweet, like old banana peels or cough syrup, pungent straight from the bottle, but after diluting and applying to plants, I’ve not detected any residual odor. It isn’t exactly pleasant, but neither is it jarringly unpleasant. The bottle: Meaningful thought was put into the bottle design. It’s a convenient size and weight for the hand, with finger indentations. The cap has a built in measure, designed such that the measuring cup recesses into the bottle, minimizing interference with the cap threads. My process for houseplants: 1. Shake 2. Add 1/2 cap to 1 quart watering can 3. Fill with water 4. Water plants 5. Repeat as necessary ever 4 waterings or so.

Customer Review: I like this product a lot. I tried other products, but this one got me “wow, ok”. I started propagating roses from cuttings. But I was not successful until now. Feb 14, I got some roses, and used a red rose and a pink rose for my cutting project. I heard about inserting the cuttings into a banana and placing them in the soil, etc. I tried the banana thing on my red rose. And the pink rose cutting, I propagated in water with this rooting solution. I followed the instructions. 1 week later, the red rose cuttings have nothing, the pink rose cuttings have some buds coming out of the nodes of the stem, as you can see in the picture. 2 weeks later, the buds are longer, as you can see in the picture. The red rose in the banana, still nothing. 3rd week, buds are now leaves but I don’t have picture of it. The red rose cuttings in the banana, still nothing, and is dying or dead now too. I also tried it with a monstera cutting, placed in water with the rooting solution to grow it, and you can see in the picture, the node part of the monstera, roots are starting to come out. I am also trying to propagate the money tree leaf with this solution. Not sure yet. The flowers from feb 14, I just placed them in water with the rooting solution rather than the flower food that came with it. 2-3 weeks later, the flowers are still alive, no buds coming out, but the flowers are still alive. The red ones are wilting more than the pink rose.

Customer Review: I purchase this annually for use with my citrus plants. If you aren’t familiar with growing citrus, it might be easier to grow potato’s on mars! They require lots of food and tons of micro nutrient when grown in pots. One of the issues that come up often is an iron deficiency and it presents in the leaves. This stops that and will prevent it if applied a few times a year. I only add it to the water about three times during the peak growing months, or if symptoms present. It seems to mix really easily into a watered and works great.

The cap is plastic and is known to crack during shipping, leaving you and the mailman with hydrolized chicken poop all over the place, BUT THIS SELLER uses a super strong seal on the caps!
